Cookie statement

What we do not do

No advertising cookies, no social media pixels, no external fonts. Without your consent we only set the choice cookie below and load nothing from Google. Pages, fonts and videos come from our own sites. Images of projects, team and news load from our content system (admin.kioz.be, Hetzner Online GmbH, Germany), which receives your IP address and standard request data and keeps them for up to 30 days for security and troubleshooting.

What we always store (necessary, no consent needed)

• kioz_consent (cookie). Provider: Kioz (kioz.be and subdomains). Purpose: remembers your choice about cookies, the time and the version of this statement, so we do not ask again on every visit. Duration: 6 months. Type: first party, functional.
• kioz:van (sessionStorage, kioz.be). Remembers which Kioz site you came from (for example storage.kioz.be), so the "Back to" link can take you back. It stays in your browser, is not sent to us and disappears when you close the tab. It holds no personal data. It is functional and exempt from consent.

What we only store with your consent (statistics)

We use Google Analytics 4 to measure how our websites are used (which pages, how you found us, which device), so that we can improve them. Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, processes this data on our behalf; Google LLC (United States) may get access to it. See the transfers in the privacy statement.

• _ga (cookie). Provider: Google, set on kioz.be. Purpose: recognises a returning visitor by a random ID to count visits. Duration: 6 months. Type: first party, statistics.
• _ga_<id> (cookie). Provider: Google, set on kioz.be ("<id>" is the ID of our Google Analytics property). Purpose: remembers the state of your session. Duration: 6 months. Type: first party, statistics.

Before you consent, Google's script does not load and your browser makes no connection to Google. If you decline, nothing happens and everything works the same. We keep data in Google Analytics for 14 months. We do not use Google Signals, advertising features or user IDs.

Changing or withdrawing your choice

Click "Cookie settings" at the bottom of any page and choose again, or decline everything. Withdrawing is as easy as giving consent. We ask for your choice again after 6 months or when we change this statement. You can also clear cookies at any time in your browser settings.

Google Maps, only after your click

The Projects page has a map. It only loads when you click "Load map (Google Maps)". Only then does your browser connect to Google, and Google may set cookies and collect data itself. We have no influence over that, see Google's privacy policy. If you do not click, nothing happens.

Links to other sites

Our links to LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube are plain links. Your browser only connects to those sites when you click them.

Clearing stored data

Session storage disappears when you close the tab. You can also clear stored data at any time in your browser settings.

Changes

If we later add other third-party services that collect data, we will ask for your consent first and update this statement. More about your data is in the privacy statement.
